Magruder High School Student, Amy Soukup Wins The 2006/2007 Olney Town Center Advisory Committee Logo Contest
The Olney Town Center Advisory Committee (OTCAC)invited students from the public and private high schools in the greater Olney community to help us design a logo for use on our website, on our letterhead stationary, and on other documents or media we may create.
The Committee received 21 entries from students at Good Counsel High School, Magruder High School, and Sherwood High School. The entries were initially judged by a committee of several members of the OTCAC who narrowed down the choices. This smaller group of entries were then judged by the full Committee, which selected the entry submitted by Amy Soukup, a student at Magruder High School. On April 16th, Amy received a $500.00 scholarship towards an accredited higher learning institution, donated by Carl M. Freeman Retail, owners and managers of the Olney Village Center and the Olney Town Shopping Center.
